Brevard County, otherwise known as the Space Coast, is located in the east-central area of Florida. Nestled in the middle of Osceola, Orange, and Indian River Counties, Brevard County, Florida's second largest, is home to Kennedy Space Center and some of the most beautiful beaches along the Atlantic. Due to its location, Brevard County also is only a 60-mile drive to Orlando attractions such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and International Drive. With its space-age technology, beautiful beaches, and terrific tourist destinations, the Space Coast is where the world lifts off. Welcome to my home page. Home pages typically try to set the tone and match the style of the site design. Basically, you always want to at least give a brief description of who you are, what you have to offer and what separates you from your competition, commonly known as your unique selling propostion. There are basically 3 types of home page lay outs and you should try to tailor your content based on the design style of your site. There are 2 major factors that play into the amount of text you should include on the page and they are the following: 1. Amount of Graphics on the page Graphic Dominated Design - be very brief with your text and let the imagery speak for you. Just give highlights of what you have to offer. Frame Design - design consists of a graphic header, footer and/or navigation bar known as the frame and then a center content area known as the body and it all fits in the top visual screen or . This style alllows for a more text heavy page and will also perform better in search engines 2. Size of Page Design Above the Fold Design - requires that the majority of the page content appears in the first visual screen when viewed on the Internet. With some monitors that allows for as little as 800 pixels of vertical space. Requires minimal content on the home page. Scrolling Page Design - allows for the content to go beyond the first visual screen and for much more content to be included. While this design will perform better on search engines, may not be as graphically appealing as a graphic dominated above the fold design.
